The literal meaning of Bininj is human being, Aboriginal vs non-Aboriginal person, and also “man” in opposition to “woman”. “Bininj” is a word in the Kunwok language, often referred to by its dominant dialect Kunwinjku. Naljord is a Dreamtime Serpent.
